Description
A reimagined version of my bestselling Spanish Moon Moth plush doll — now with larger, more detailed wings and softer, more natural proportions. Still the same sweet companion, just a little more lifelike.
Each moth is handcrafted using durable oven-bake polymer clay and soft faux fur. The new wings, inspired by the Graellsia isabellae moth, are made from thin slices of colored clay, carefully arranged into layered gradients and details. No painting involved — just precision and patience. The eyes are the only part finished with shimmering pigment and varnish.
Inside the body, a strong neodymium magnet allows the moth to perch on any magnetic surface, like a lamp or mirror. For non-metallic surfaces, a steel mounting plate with adhesive backing is included.
The body is dense yet soft to the touch, with a plush outer layer and a sturdy felted core. The legs are sculpted on a steel wire base and can be gently repositioned. Wings and legs are sewn securely with strong threadwork and stay in place during handling.
This isn’t a plush in the usual sense — it’s an art doll made to be a companion. Each Spanish Moon Moth is created by hand after purchase, so small variations make every one unique. I recently purchased a Spanish moon moth doll from this store and it is absolutely gorgeous! The fur is so soft and the attention to detail is incredible, especially with the patterns on the wings, the curls in the tails on the lower wings, the pattern of fur on the body (including the little tuffs of pink fur underneath the wings!), not to mention all the moveable parts such the wings, legs and antenna which can be slightly adjusted making the moth feel more even more life like! I would absolutely recommend this as a beautiful way to decorate your home or as a gorgeous gift for any moth loving person in your life.
